The National Hockey League (NHL) will bring top ice hockey to Düsseldorf in December 2026:
As part of the NHL Global Series Germany 2026, the Ottawa Senators and the Chicago Blackhawks will meet in two regular season games on 18 and 20 December 2026 in the PSD BANK DOME.
The matches mark a special milestone for ice hockey in Germany. For the first time since 2011, regular-season NHL games will be held in the country - and Düsseldorf will be the venue for this top international event. The games are part of the NHL's global strategy to promote the sport worldwide and bring fans outside North America even closer to the league.
German NHL stars also take centre stage, above all Tim Stützle from the Ottawa Senators, who comes from nearby Viersen. Together with players such as Leon Draisaitl and Moritz Seider, he represents the new generation of German ice hockey professionals who are causing a stir internationally.
