Special music in special places: the New Fall Festival presents a series of concerts with international artists in unusual Düsseldorf venues. Music, architecture and space enter into an exciting dialogue.
The New Fall Festival is a curated concert series in Düsseldorf that brings international pop, indie and art-pop artists to unusual venues in the city. Venues such as the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus theatre, Johanneskirche church, Deutsche Oper am Rhein opera house and Rheinterrasse are deliberately made part of the concert experience - because at the New Fall Festival, it doesn't matter where the music takes place.
Each event stands on its own and is individually curated: from intimate concerts to energetic shows in standing venues. The programme is complemented by selected collaborations, including with re:publica, which enable additional formats at the interface of music, discourse and contemporary culture.
Instead of traditional festival spaces, the New Fall Festival focusses on atmosphere, proximity and context. Music, space and audience enter into a dialogue and create concert experiences that last beyond the evening. Each concert has its own times and conditions, which are clearly presented on the festival website.
