To mark the anniversary, the walk-in sound system Modular Organ System will be presented, transforming the former glazier's workshop into a resonance chamber over a period of three months.
Modular Organ operates beyond fixed categories of instrument or sculpture, is neither a classical organ nor a pure adaptation of one, but rather a state of sonic compression, spatial tension and physical experience. The installation consists of components such as pipes or wind bodies - e.g. made of glass fibre funnels - and sound-generating modules that are detached from the housing of a classical instrument.
