The modern event on Düsseldorf's famous boulevard is aimed at young talents, amateur runners and elite athletes. There is an extra classification for schools and companies. The motto of the event is “Düsseldorf läuft Jemeensam” and the focus is on the fun of running. The race is modeled on the “Fifth Avenue Mile” in New York.
