The queer Düsseldorf party Schamlos is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The Millennium Edition brings together queer pop, chart hits, techno and trash pop across three dance floors, capturing the sound and spirit of the 2000s.
Schamlos has been a fixture of the queer party scene in Düsseldorf and the surrounding region since 2006. On 26 September 2026, the event series will celebrate its 20th anniversary at zakk with a special Millennium Edition.
What began as a small community initiative has developed over the past two decades into one of the region’s most established queer parties. Diversity, openness and the opportunity to celebrate together, regardless of identity or expression, have always been at the heart of the event.
To mark the anniversary, Schamlos is drawing on the spirit of the 2000s and combining it with the event’s contemporary sound. Under the motto ‘Millennium Edition’, Y2K aesthetics and musical memories of the 2000s meet three distinct musical genres.
The programme is complemented by a chill-out area in the beer garden as well as various anniversary specials.
To mark the Millennium weekend in Düsseldorf, there will also be a musical special featuring songs by the Backstreet Boys and the Pussycat Dolls. Both acts will be performing in Düsseldorf throughout the event weekend and have helped shape the sound of the 2000s with their music. (Source: Metropol Events)
