How can processes of condensation, acceleration and increased energy be made audible and reflected in composition?
Under the thematic focus ‘Acceleration’, the eighth edition of the Recorded Sound Festival presents electronic and electroacoustic audio productions that explore the sonic, structural and temporal processes of acceleration.
On the darkened stage, an acousmatic spatial sound environment is created, inviting visitors to concentrate entirely on listening. A total of ten audio productions will be presented in multichannel and stereo formats, which will subsequently be awarded prizes by a panel of experts and the audience.
Alongside the thematic focus, the open category showcases a wide variety of electronic and electroacoustic music: ranging from musical compositions, soundscapes and sound collages to experimental works and narrative audio formats. (Source: FFT)
