Tyla’s career really took off from 2024 onwards, as she has undoubtedly proven by winning her first Grammy Award, her triple RIAA Platinum-certified smash hit ‘Water’ and her debut album *Tyla*, along with its deluxe edition *Tyla+* – both of which made Billboard chart history –. The album produced another Hot 100 hit, “PUSH 2 START”, which also won a Grammy, and saw a total of seven songs enter the US Afrobeats charts – including two number-one hits. The entire album campaign saw Tyla become the African solo artist with the highest chart position on the Billboard 200. Amidst huge anticipation and excitement for her second album, “A*POP”, Tyla finally picked up exactly where she’d left off. “CHANEL”, one of the album’s standout singles, instantly became a pop sensation. The song not only topped the US Afobeats charts but also racked up over 150 million video views. “SHE DID IT AGAIN” featuring Zara Larsson also caused quite a stir and underlined Tyla’s commitment to pop music. With her third single, “IS IT LOVE?”, Tyla went on to celebrate a record-breaking fourth number-one hit on the US Afrobeats charts, before the accompanying album “A*POP” was finally released on 24 July via FAX and Epic Records.
