Guillaume de Seynes, great-great-grandson of the saddler from Krefeld and company founder Thierry Hermès, is very happy about the new location in the Girardethaus, built in 1909. With 350 square metres of retail space, the new “Maison” is twice as large as the former one on the opposite side of the Kö. And the eight windows of the Düsseldorf branch are even larger than those of the main building on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. So much space for the product range, from the iconic silk scarf to bangles to suits, from ready-to-wear fashion for the lady and gentleman to perfume to a riding whip or to cognac-coloured leather armchairs. And plenty of space for the spectacular window displays, for which Hermès is also famous.
