The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen is delighted to present the first comprehensive exhibition of the American artist and writer Anne Truitt (1921-2004) in Europe.
There are more than 100 impressive works from over four decades to discover, showing the work of one of the most influential artists of Minimalism. The art movement known through Donald Judd, Robert Morris and Imi Knoebel is characterised by the use of simple forms, vibrant colours and the pursuit of clarity and essence. In the exhibition, Truitt's works invite visitors to explore the emotional aspects of colour, form and space.
The exhibition is organised by the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, Musée de Grenoble and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. (Source: Kunstsammlung NRW)
