Art on cinema format - B. Pusch
Free art exhibition in the zoo park! At the end of May, B. Pusch presents large-format paintings and clay works on 750m². A gallery without walls for all Düsseldorfers. Experience modern art surrounded by greenery.
What happens when art leaves closed spaces and goes where life pulsates? At the end of May, Düsseldorf's Zoopark will be the setting for an extraordinary art project. The Wuppertal artist B. Pusch is realising his vision of a "gallery without walls".
On an area of 750 square metres, the dimensions of a small museum, nature becomes the backdrop for works of art that want to touch. The artist, who deliberately does not limit himself to one medium, shows the entire spectrum of his creative expression. Large-format canvases find their place among the trees and green spaces of the park. These are complemented by haptic clay works and installations that transform the public space for a moment into a world of reflection and aesthetics.
A gift to the city At a time when culture often seems exclusive, this project sets an example of accessibility. Visiting the exhibition is free of charge for all citizens. It is not about commerce, but about the dialogue between the work, the viewer and the surroundings. The artist wants to give park visitors a chance, carefree encounter with modern art - in passing, on a picnic or on a targeted tour.
Behind the scenes As the exhibition is organised entirely by the artist himself and without institutional funding, it is a real "heart project". From the complex logistics of the heavy sculptures to the curation of the huge open space, every step was planned privately. Interested parties can follow the creation process and financing via social media and crowdfunding and thus become part of this cultural adventure.
