On the Day of the Stages, the SchifffahrtMuseum offers an additional date for the postcard workshop from the Museum Night. Here, young and old can select, colour and send "their postcard" from various 150-year-old motifs.
At the end of the 19th century, artistically designed postcards with views of travel destinations and a handwritten greeting were sent out and new printing techniques made it possible to reproduce colourful works of art. In this workshop, historical postcard motifs relating to steam navigation on the Rhine can be creatively coloured using watercolour pencils and brushes.
