Dermot Kennedy - Support: Amble
The Irish singer/songwriter Dermot Kennedy, who once found his first listeners between Dublin street corners and small clubs, has developed into one of the most influential voices of his generation and Ireland in recent years.
The multi-platinum selling musician has now announced his biggest headlining tour, which will also take him to Germany in May 2026.
The tour will take him to various cities in Europe and the UK, including a return to London's O2 Arena, and follows the already confirmed shows at Dublin's Aviva Stadium - a home game on a big stage. Live, Dermot Kennedy proves best why he reaches so many people: it's not the staging that takes centre stage, but the honest, almost unguarded presence with which he sings. He has already impressed audiences on iconic stages such as the O2 Arena in London and Madison Square Garden. After reduced European shows, the MISNEACH festival curated by him and international guest appearances with artists such as Niall Horan, Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan, a new chapter will follow in 2026. In addition to fan favourites, Kennedy will also perform completely new material.
Dermot Kennedy started playing guitar at an early age, but spent a long time searching for the right sound. He finally found it: songwriting awards, over four billion streams on Spotify, the best-selling debut album in Ireland this century with "Without Fear". Step by step, he worked his way out of the local scene without ever losing the feeling inherent in his songs. Folk elements meet more modern structures, poetic images meet rhythmic clarity. With his second album "Sonder", released in 2022, and the introspective EP "I've told the trees everything" (2024), the singer/songwriter has further honed his authentic sound.
Dermot Kennedy is now coming to Germany for four concerts in spring 2026. He will be supported by the Irish folk band Amble. (Source: prime entertainment)
