Visitors learn what everyday life was like in the final days of the Second World War, what fears, hopes and decisions accompanied the people and how they reacted to the dramatic changes in their city. Individual stories take centre stage, making the great historical events tangible and personal. The tour invites visitors to retrace these fates, empathise with the perspectives of those affected and experience the effects of the end of the war on Düsseldorf at close quarters.
