Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
Get Over It Collective brings an energetic DJ set to the Weltkunstzimmer at the Art:walk Festival. Between house, techno and hyperpop, inclusive, queer sounds are created for an open, pulsating dancefloor.
With their DJ set, Get Over It Collective will transform the Weltkunstzimmer into a vibrant, queer sound space as part of the Art:walk festival. The Düsseldorf collective - consisting of MarXa, seren.a and Magical Grrrl - has stood for progressive club culture since 2018 and is consistently committed to the visibility of FLINTA* on and behind the decks. Musically, their sets move between driving house and techno, playful pop references, hyperpop and clubby nostalgia moments. The sounds are powerful, playful and emotional at the same time - always with the aim of breaking up dancefloors and making safer, more inclusive raving a matter of course. This creates spaces in which dancing, experimentation and collective energy take centre stage. With its own parties and performances, the Get Over It Collective has shown how diverse and open club culture can be. At the Art:walk Festival, too, the focus is not just on the DJ set, but on the idea of a communal experience: music as a unifying force that pushes boundaries and opens up new perspectives. An evening between attitude, lack of attitude on the dancefloor and uncompromisingly good music. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
