Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
At "Gute Nacht, Harry!" you will encounter Heinrich Heine in a jazz guise: literature, music and the scene combine to create a lively, modern take on his texts.
In the "Good night, Harry!" series, you will experience a literary-musical afternoon in which texts by Heinrich Heine meet jazz. Between reading, scenic interpretation and concert, a lively interplay of language and music is created. Heine's texts are not only read, but also expanded and reinterpreted in terms of sound. Jazz picks up on the moods, rhythm and humour of his language and opens up unusual approaches to his work. The result is a dialogue between literature and music that makes Heine's modernity particularly clear. You will experience an afternoon that makes Heine seem surprisingly close and present - sometimes ironic, sometimes poetic, sometimes full of energy. The combination of text and music creates an atmosphere in which his thoughts and observations become audible in a completely new way. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
