Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
Hackedepicciotto bring intensely vibrating soundscapes to the Weltkunstzimmer at the Art:walk Festival. Using various instruments and electronic elements, they create a haunting interplay between industrial beats and electronic sounds with classical harmonies and melodies.
Hackedepicciotto stand for a musical universe beyond clear genre boundaries. At the Art:walk Festival, Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto can be experienced in the Weltkunstzimmer - a duo that has been working together for many years on an independent, profound sound language. Using instruments such as violin, bass, guitar and electronic elements, they create a musical atmosphere that is both archaic and contemporary. Their music moves between industrial, electronic structures and classical harmonies and is complemented by spoken word and unusual sound sources. Hackedepicciotto themselves describe this approach as symphonic drone. The collaboration between the two artists is characterised by mutual trust, a love of experimentation and creative equality. This attitude results in concerts that focus less on classical songs and more on atmospheric developments and emotional arcs of tension. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
