Information stand: Art:walk Festival meets "Opera House of the Future"
Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
An information stand combines the Art:walk Festival and the Opera House of the Future: models of the architectural competition, talks and small artistic interventions provide insights into current developments in Düsseldorf's cultural scene.
As part of the Art:walk festival, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein is bringing current developments in Düsseldorf's cultural landscape into the public space. Directly opposite the future site of the new opera house, a place is being created that combines information, exchange and artistic impulses. The two winning models from the international architecture competition will take centre stage and can be viewed up close. They give a concrete impression of how the "opera house of the future" is conceived - architecturally, functionally and as a cultural centre for the city. This will be complemented by discussions with representatives of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, musical contributions from the ensembles of the Robert Schumann Hochschule and the Clara Schumann Music School, which will provide insights into the background, planning and perspectives. In addition to these content-related offers, small artistic interventions provide additional impulses and loosen up the approach. The information stand thus becomes not only a source of information, but also a lively meeting point in the festival programme. Accompanying this, current programmes and event schedules will be on display, making the diversity of Düsseldorf's cultural scene visible. The stand connects different institutions, provides information about upcoming programmes and at the same time offers space for personal discussions. In the context of the Art:walk festival, a place is created where questions about the future of culture can be directly experienced and discussed. There will be an open mic on the Velostage bicycle stage on this day from 12 noon to 3 pm. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
