Invictus Germany Sports Festival 2026
The Invictus Germany Sports Festival is returning to CASTELLO Düsseldorf after its successful premiere in 2024.
From 12 to 14 June 2026, around 150 athletes from several nations and their families and friends are expected to come to Düsseldorf for the second edition to compete in the four sports of indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, spinning and table tennis and to experience community. The festival builds directly on the successful first edition and is another central component of the "Invictus Germany" movement, which emerged from the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023.
Sport is the central element for inclusion, rehabilitation and social recognition. The aim of the festival is to visibly bring soldiers and blue light forces injured in action or on duty into the centre of society and to build bridges between the Bundeswehr, civil society and international partners. At the same time, the event is a permanent focal point for dialogue between those affected and their families. The 2026 festival thus sends a strong signal for respect, cohesion and sustainable responsibility. The registration process for Invictus Germany started this week.
A symposium on the topic of "Rehabilitation and Inclusion" will open the weekend on Friday, 12 June at 10 am. On Saturday, 13 June, the symposium will continue at 9 a.m. and the competitions will begin at 11 a.m. with the disciplines of indoor rowing, sitting volleyball and table tennis. On Sunday, the sporting part starts at 9 a.m. with sitting volleyball, spinning and table tennis.
Participation: Participants from Germany and other Invictus Community nations, Blue Light organisations, veterans and their families are invited.
Public participation: Spectators are welcome, visiting opportunities are open; honours and encounters complement the festival. (Source: Invictus Germany/D.LIVE)
