The Associated Press described the project as “glorious ... the best thing the rocker has done in years”, while NPR called it a “kaleidoscope of driving rock, psychedelic funk, smooth soul and more”. Kravitz was also honored this year with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the “Music Icon Award” at the People's Choice Awards 2024, the “Best Rock Award” at the Video Music Awards 2024 and the “Fashion Icon Award” from the CFDA. In June, Kravitz kicked off the European leg of his Blue Electric Light Tour 2024 with a sold-out show at Hamburg's Sporthalle, featuring live performances of his favorites from “Blue Electric Light” as well as Kravitz classics from his decades-long career that are not to be missed.
