Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
Polish language and culture to join in: Number bingo, picture puzzles and small language exercises invite you to try them out. The programme is complemented by insights into Polish cuisine - uncomplicated, playful and for all levels.
With Polish for everyone!, the vhs Düsseldorf is bringing language, culture and encounters together in an open format as part of the Art:walk festival. The focus is on playful approaches to the Polish language that require no prior knowledge and invite people to join in straight away. Number bingo in Polish and a picture puzzle about well-known personalities offer initial points of contact and turn language learning into a shared experience. The focus is less on systematic knowledge transfer and more on a low-threshold introduction, where terms, sounds and contexts can be grasped intuitively. Small prizes also ensure a relaxed dynamic. The programme is supplemented by short taster courses in which basic phrases are tried out: Greetings, introducing yourself or formulating simple orders. This creates a direct link to everyday life. At the same time, Polish cooking recipes are presented, which can be taken away and tried out further - a further approach to culture through flavour and tradition. The format combines language, knowledge and playful elements to create a versatile programme. Polish for everyone! opens up a space in which curiosity, exchange and cultural diversity take centre stage - accessible, relaxed and embedded in the lively environment of the Art:walk Festival.
