With the new programme POP CULTURE, Roncalli's Apollo Varieté brings the unmistakable zeitgeist of four decades of pop history to the stage. A kaleidoscope of top international artistry, high-calibre live singing and exciting choreography merges into an energetic homage to the pop culture of the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
The audience finds itself at the centre of the world of legendary pop moments, as if it were part of one of the popular MTV music videos. The greatest hits of the era provide a fascinating experience full of emotion, colour and music. Live vocals bring the anthems of Madonna, the Backstreet Boys and Lady Gaga to life, while the costumes are reminiscent of iconic styles.
The pop era is brought to life by an ensemble of 17 international artists who provide spectacular moments with their performances. From sensual partner acrobatics and graceful aerial artistry high above the stage floor to amusing slapstick: POP CULTURE constantly creates new moments of amazement that surprise guests with modern illusions. The multi-faceted stage action is accompanied by a modern vocal duo consisting of the Spanish singer Sandra Groove and the American singer Olivier St. Louis, who accompany the performances in an impressive way with loud and soft sounds.
