Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
The Institut français' bibliobus becomes an open cultural meeting place at the Art:walk Festival. Family programme with short films and readings, later a photo booth in the bus - accompanied by French wines, drinks and small specialities.
As part of the Art:walk festival, the Institut français Düsseldorf is opening its Bibliobus and turning it into a lively place for encounters, culture and enjoyment. Normally on the road throughout North Rhine-Westphalia, this weekend the Bibliobus will bring French literature, films and magazines to the heart of the festival. Between 16:00 and 19:00, the focus will be on a varied family programme: short animated films for children, a reading session in French and other activities invite visitors to discover French together and create low-threshold access to French culture. The Bibliobus will become an open space for all generations. From 20:00, the atmosphere changes: a photo box in the Bibliobus invites you to pose for a photo and take a Polaroid photo home with you as a souvenir. In this way, literature and culture education is combined with playful moments and personal memories. The programme is accompanied throughout by culinary offerings "à la française". In cooperation with InCocagne, French wines from small producers will be offered - from natural or organic cultivation - complemented by other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as small specialities from local French production.
