On 6 June, we will open the Schumann Festival with a very special recital performed jointly by Christoph Prégardien and his son Julian Prégardien.
Alone and as a duet, they present all of Robert and Clara Schumann's settings of Heine - with the exception of "Dichterliebe", which the two lieder composers have already performed here. Their piano partner is Michael Gees, who has been making music with his father Christoph since their son Julian was born in 1984.
Because Schubert's song worlds are particularly close to the hearts of the three artists, they will sing a selection of their favourite songs, some of which have been arranged for two voices, on the theme of HEIMATEN in the second half of the concert. Wishes and anecdotes about special Schubert experiences from the audience are expressly welcome! (Please send them to
