Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
During the Art:walk Festival, you can marvel at Carmine Antonio Iacolare's work with Sechs Ziegen on the city beach at Oberkasseler Brücke. Using materials from farms and tanneries, he creates assemblages that combine origin, craftsmanship and artistic process.
In the open atmosphere of the Off-Mikro-Galerie, his installations unfold a special presence - directly on the banks of the Rhine and embedded in the lively surroundings of the art and culture beach. Iacolare works predominantly with natural and found materials as well as remnants from farms and tanneries. These materials are closely linked to his origins and characterise both the aesthetics and the working process of his art. The visible traces of use, processing and time consciously become part of the works and lend them a strong physical and emotional quality. The artist, who was born in Traunstein and now lives in Antwerp, is known for his minimalist yet striking works in which material, space and context interact with each other. Sechs Ziegen invites visitors to experience art outside of traditional exhibition spaces - raw, direct and open. The interplay of location and material creates new perspectives on origin, memory and artistic practice that unfold quietly but sustainably. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
