Event as part of the Art:walk Festival
At the writing workshop Der Worri, texts about Worringer Platz are created under expert guidance. Short observations will be turned into a text-sound collage, which will be presented the following day at the street festival in the Bahnhofsviertel.
Worringer Platz is a place full of contradictions, stories and voices. As part of the Art:walk festival, the Literaturbüro NRW invites you to the writing workshop Der Worri and makes the square itself the starting point for literary work. After a substantive input from Maren Jungclaus and writer Vera Vorneweg, the focus will be on the immediate surroundings: on atmosphere, movement and what can be seen between the lines of everyday life. Short texts are written on site, inspired by observations, impressions and sounds of the square. These texts are then edited and developed further together. Step by step, a text-sound collage is formed, in which individual perspectives come together to form a polyphonic overall picture. (Source: Art:walk Festival)
