Afghan cuisine is characterised by both Persian and Indian influences. Fans of curries, saffron, rice and dried fruit will quickly feel at home with the flavours. A variety of curries - vegetarian or with meat - and mantu, the traditional Afghan dumplings, are among the favourite main dishes at Madina. For smaller appetites or as an introduction to the new world of flavours, we also recommend samosas, which you may already be familiar with from Indian cuisine.
