At Risso, characteristic saffron rice is served with the various lamb and chicken dishes. A popular starter is the Persian yoghurt dip, Mast o Khiyar, served with home-baked Nān-e Barbari bread, which gets guests in the mood for the main course. Especially recommended is the Chelo Kubideh, traditional minced lamb skewers with grilled tomato, saffron rice and a small salad. For those who still have room, there are typical sweet desserts to round off the meal.
