Art Düsseldorf 2026
Art Düsseldorf 2026 opens its doors again from 17 to 19 April at Areal Böhler. The art fair exhibits contemporary art from established local and international positions.
Supported by a strong gallery list, Art Düsseldorf 2026 sends a clear signal of continuity, quality and long-term reliability in a challenging market environment.
In its eighth edition, Art Düsseldorf is recording further growth with 119 participating galleries.
32 galleries are represented at Art Düsseldorf for the first time in 2026, including ten in the Main Section, which comprises a total of 65 galleries.
Among the first-time participants are Esther Schipper (Berlin/Paris/Seoul), Bärbel Grässlin & Filiale (Frankfurt) and Petrine (Paris/Düsseldorf). The 85 returning exhibitors include established galleries such as carlier | gebauer (Berlin/Madrid), Knust Kunz (Munich), Gether Contemporary (Copenhagen), Soy Capitán (Berlin) and Nosbaum Reding (Luxembourg/Brussels), who had recently paused their participation and whose return underlines the long-term binding force of Art Düsseldorf.
The list of exhibitors includes locations in 22 countries and emphasises Art Düsseldorf's firm place in the international trade fair scene. 50 galleries are based outside Germany or have international locations, primarily in Europe, supplemented by selected locations in North and South America. Austria is particularly well represented with 17 galleries; in addition, the number of galleries based in Italy will increase from six in the previous year to nine in 2026. With 33 galleries, the Rhineland remains a central point of reference for Art Düsseldorf: 19 galleries are based in Düsseldorf, 12 in Cologne and two in Bonn. The galleries represented from the region include Konrad Fischer Galerie, Ruttkowski;68, Sies+Höke and Van Horn. In addition to the Rhineland, Berlin is once again particularly well represented with 31 exhibitors. (Source: art.fair International GmbH)
